Too vintage for Daisy?

Daisy lane got a little too vintage this month. The internet connection was on the fritz and I could not get on-line. To all those fans that I met at craft fairs and promised to have new items on the site – I am so sorry. Thanks goodness for the Geek Squad and their 21st century knowledge. Now daisy lane can get on with business.

Check out all the new products. I have barely left my computer since it has been back on line.

Holiday guide

I’m featured in Vintage Indie! Check out Gabreial’s blog and her holiday shopping guides. She features some wonderful artists and crafts people. After you have bought a beautiful stocking from daisy lane, visit the other stores to find gifts to fill it up!

Black Friday

Sales Galore

The Friday after Thanksgiving is known as Black Friday because retailers hope to sell enough to put them in the black. (Is that even possible?)

Visit The Little Black Boxes on Friday morning to experience a Black Friday like you have never seen before. Sales on body essentials, candles, and all sorts of goodies will be listed.

You can also check out my store and receive a special discount from there on Friday. Avoid the crowded stores on Friday morning. Shop from your computer in your jammies!
But shop early. The sales starts at 5 am (EST)

visit the Little Black Boxes for details.

 Special Gifts

No idea what to get that special someone? On daisy lane we can take your antique linens and quilts and turn them into special gifts.

Do you have a bunch of grandma’s doilies? Make pillows to give the grandchildren.

A well loved coat from your dad? Have a messenger bag made.

A quilt that is tearing apart from years of love and washings? Make Christmas stockings.

Here is an example of 2 darling pets I made from pillow shams.

 Festival of Trees

In my real life outside of the computer and sewing room, I work for a division of Children's Hospital in Columbia, SC as a teacher. Every Christmas they have a great fund raiser. This year I donated a tree to the Festival of Trees. It was 4.5 feet tall and was covered in handmade quilted ornaments. I sewed until my fingers were bleeding to get them made on time. Unfortunately, I forgot the digital camera and had to buy an old fashioned one at the local drug store. The quality of the picture is not great but you can get an idea of the tree. Vintage is nice but modern technology rocks.

I dedicate this tree to my cousin, Tyler, and my niece, Jayla. Both spent more time in the hospital during their first year of life than anyone should have to in their entire life. Support your local Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network.

10% of all sales through December will go to the American Heart Association in the name of Tyler.

Gobble, Gobble!

I am always on the lookout for more crafts to fill my spare time (LOLOL). I went ot he Salvation Army and bouht pure wool sweaters and felted them by washing in hot water and drying on high heat. I then turned them into a turkey for my cousin Debra in Idaho. Debra is just a hoot and loves turkeys. I hope you enjoy, Debra.

Thanksgiving is all about family and especially my mother, Alyce, who inspires me in all things crafty. Honor her and get a 10% discount by using the code ilovealyce when you check out.

Happy Thanksgiving from Daisy Mae and the zoo - down on daisy lane!
